Located at the center of Southeast Asia, with a
surface of 329 241 km², Vietnam is formed of an S of which the Northern
(Tonkin), the central (Annam) and the Southern (Cochinchine) are the areas
carrying the characteristic features. After a long history, these three territories
met to make the name Vietnam since 1802. Vietnam divides the terrestrial
borders of 4510 km with China in the North, Laos and Cambodia in the West. In
the East, it has 3260 km of coastline, with thousand of islands and small
islands and the archipelagoes such as: Paracels and Spratleys with broad of
East Sea . The three quarters of the country are covered by the mountains where
Truong Son chain and the mountains of the Northern are the residences of
several ethnic groups. At the altitude of 3143m, Fansipan is regarded as the
roof of Indochine. Red river delta (15000 km²) and Mekong delta (40 000 km²)
are the two granaries. Almost Vietnameses were born at the edge of a river.
Actually, the travellers are fascinated by the greenery of the vegetations
irrigated by thousands rivers on all the territory. The Central known by the
